sort list of numbers into factors

Hello, 1st post here

I am a woodworker trying to figure how to reduce waste on a lumber cut list
I found a thread here, but it did not answer my questions.

The idea behind this is to reduce overall waste and also produce an easy to follow cut list for the shop.


I have a list of numbers that I want to sort such that combining two (or more) numbers gets me closest to either 96 or 144.

I've attached a list of the values that I'm currently working with.
