    displaying month to date data

    Hi
I have a data set that is manually updated every week day over a year. Sometimes there are multiple entries for a given day and sometimes there are no entries for the day. The data is monitored via a graph over a Month To Date basis. At this time the data is displayed as it and is not averaged. The graph of the month to date data is printed once a week to go up on a Key Performance Indicator board. Currently they do a series of 'cut n pastes' to move the data around and they also manually change the range at which the graph looks at the data. It requires a bit of knowledge of what data they should be looking at and also consumes a chunk of their time. They have asked me if there is a simplier and more effective way to display and store their data.

The owner of the data wants to keep each months graph (they add comments via text boxes etc) and save it in its own worksheet. The owner of the data wants all of the data to be stored on one sheet. They are ok if the month data is taken/extracted /stored in a separate tab (worksheet).

I am stuck at the moment. Ideally what I would like is that there is a front page where all of the data is stored and then the owner of the data clicks on a month tab to get that months data graphed. Again ideally the data in the graph is updated automatically.

The other way that I have been thinking is that each months tab has a macro that extracts only the data that has that months date/time stamp assigned to it. When the data for that month has been hauled across the graph for that month is automatically updated.

I have attached a mock up of the data and a graph to better illustrate my question

    Thoughts and solutions most welcomed
