    comparing schedules

    I have tried many formulas, they all fail somewhere, i am beyond my abilities now...
    i need to compare the highlighted schedule to the other schedules, to give a % of hours worked together. does that make since? i am tying to see the number of hours and the % of time each employee spends with their managers. Now that im typing this, it would be nice to see that number of days they spend at work as well. Please let me know if you need more info.

    thank you for your assistance

    Column R is only the number of hours each person is staffed,
    the "manager" schedule is the highlighted schedule row's 15, 39, 66, ect.
    i need to break this down per employee.

    hi webejamn,

    i hope your's below formula will work great.

    '=IF(OR(Finish1<Start2,Start1>Finish2),0,MIN(Finish1,Finish2)-MAX(Start1,Start2))

    but
    why can't you get each team's data in separate sheets in same file?.. i guess, it would be very efficient if you create a template for this calculation.

    Thanks very much..
