I am hoping this is possible. But i want to take some location id's . Like 1, 2, 3, 4 that are in a column of data. Basically i want to have a unique id as well so each time the id comes up on a location on a different day i can put that on a map/chart
This is basically for a whitetail deer tracking module i am making in excel So everytime the deer goes through a location that is predetermined on a different day i can track a pattern. Is this even possible? Any help would be great.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook.
Give us an idea with a before and after picture...
My first impression would be a countif.
Dates in C with a count in D
Locations in A starting with A2
=COUNTIF($D$2:$D$100,A2)
