Count range of cells in Excel when filtering

    HELP!

I am trying to count how many 1s or 2s there are in the range XJ3:XJ241 and I have tried loads of help pages but it is still not working. There are some cells that I want to ignore (where they have a VALUE error).

    Any help?

    Stephen

    You can use COUNTIF,

    =SUM(COUNTIF(XJ3:XJ241,{1,2}))

Will count how many 1 & 2 in XJ3:XJ241. Ignore all error values.

As your title says, do you want to count only in visible cells?
