Pie of Pie Help

Basically I am looking as to how I would write the data into excel in order to make a pie of pie chart, no way I have tried has currently been successful.

I want the primary pie to be Yes = 32 and No = 11

Secondary pie I want to be a breakdown of Yes where:

U= 16
V = 8
W = 6
X = 3
Y =2
Z = 1

note: the totals of U, V, W, X, Y and Z are more than the 32 of yes as more than one option was allowed to be picked, im not sure if that is where the difficulty lies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

you can't do that without rescaling the data so that the sub-pie adds up to its parent slice.
btw, pie charts are generally bad at representing information (the human brain is not well equipped to work with the relationships involved) and one of the few things worse than a pie chart is a pie of pie. ;-)

Two points.

1) We cast a suspicious eye upon pie charts around here. Could you do like a column chart instead???

2) "No way you have tried is successful"... did you try the official instructions for creating a pie-of-pie chart? That's basically how I was going to tell you to do it, only more completely written out.

EDIT: BTW those instructions are for Excel 2003. I dunno what kind of support Excel 2010 has for pie charts.
