Need help whit a graph

Hello.

Im making a woorksheet for monitoring of fuel consumption.

In this sheet i have a dropdown menue (created whit datavalidation -> list) to describe the current opperation the vessel is preforming. Moored, steaming, dp standby and dp operation. It is in this list I
want the graph to sort the diffrent operations. If the Text in cell A6 says steaming it the numbers should go in the steaming part in the graph and if it says Dp Operation the same thing. Is this possibel to do and if so, how do i do it?

With charts, a lot depends on the data layout. See the attached file for a chart whose values change when a selection changes in A6. This is done by creating the chart from a single range, but the contents of the range changes with an Index/Match formula.

Is that going towards what you want to do?

That is almost what im looking for. Although i think i need it the other way around. If you take alook at my sheet I think you'll see what i mean.

I want the graph to "sort" whats in colum A. So if it says steaming the data would go in a steaming collum, if it says dp operation it will go in the dp operation collum, and ignore the rest.

Any ideas on how to do this?

EDIT: And if it could present the nubers the way your graph did that would be awesome to :D

Thanks for the file. That helps. But it's not quite clear what data you want to chart.

You can create a chart that includes all rows of the data table and then use the Autofilter to filter the table to show only the "mooring" rows. Then the chart will only show those values, without any special Excel tricks.

What im wanting to do is use the data from my K or L collum (or both)to be presented in the graph. I want one chart for each operation. I would also like the graph to automaticly put the right number in the right place in the grafp. If a4 says Moored i want the data to go to the moored graph. If it says Steaming i want it to go to the steaming graph and so on. I have no idea on how to do this hehe, and googel is not helping mutch either.

Hope i made my self a bit more understandabel
