I'm working with numerical spreadsheets of 5,000 to as many as 25,000 rows in Excel 2010. I often need to view the data of one column graphically, and can do this quickly by selecting the column, then: Insert > Scatter > With Straight Lines.

The problem is that in these large files I get a very compressed plot that I need to drag out horizontally over many columns to see the character in a particular interval, and it is often far removed from the associated spresdheet values. This quick plot shows column values as the y axis and row numbers as the x axis. Is there a quick way to flip the axes?

If this is possible I could then display the plot, stretch it vertically to the last row and positioned it next to the column of interest. This would let me modify a value and see the graphical result at that same level.
