    Conditional Formatting Problem

    Hi,

I want a cell to automatically generate a full stop or period after initials are entered i.e. enter AJK and the conditional format changes the cell to A.J.K..

I found this on the web but it doesn't seem to work if you put it into the actual cell which is b2 as a conditional format.

    =LEFT(MID(B2,1,1)&"."&MID(B2,2,1)&"."&MID(B2,3,1)&"."&MID(B2,4,1)&".",2*LEN(B2))

    All help appreciated.

    Re: Conditional Formatting Problem

    Good day,

Conditional formatting will only change the format of the cell and not the value (which you are after). Its best to use a separate cell referencing to the input cell to achieve the results!
