    hi craigy09, your formula seems to be finding the amount after discount since you used 100%, 95%, 92% & 90% in the result_vector & multiply it by the course fees. if you wish to see the discount percentage, you should be using:
    =LOOKUP( G2/7,{0,1,2,3},{0,0.05,0.08,0.1})

    BUT you have used lookup function what ur quary says.. u need vlookup..for that you have to make a table showing in out ranges and dats it
