Excel 2007 : Help with excel 2007 editing

Hi guys,
I'm new here and I dont know anything about excel its just that I have to work on some file
here's my remedy what I'm trying work on is editing every column changing the first two words like 98-01 I have to change it to 1998-2001 or 00-10
like 2000-2010 is there any functions that we could use? i'm working on over 2,ooo items.

also, aside from that, at the very beginning of those i have to type in "custom exact fit" in every single of the columns.


please help me I thank you in advance!

Try this, placing it in the column to the right of your data, starting in cell B2, assuming that your data starts in A2 (with header in A1)

thank you very much really helped me a lot, now I have another problem how can I remove certain words from a column?
what im trying to do is remove anything that has "UB" on it in column A and also, how do we get rid of double spaces? is there a workaround for that? please see attached file.

ex: CUSTOM EXACT FIT 1994-2001 SYLVAN 1600 SPORT TROLLER TLR*O/B (remove the extra space after TLR and O/B)

To get rid of double spaces, use find and replace function and type the double space in find and the single space in replace. Then click replace all.

To remove UB, type " UB " (without the "") into find and " " (without the "") into replace and click replace all

thank you again for the help i tried the find,replace but when I tried to get rid of multiple spaces its not letting me do it anymore.

Is what you are trying to replace all formulas or text?

If formulas, copy/paste it in place or elsewhere and select "Values Only", then do find/replace
