drop down box linked to another workbook...

Hi all,

Is it possible to create a dropdown box linked to a list in another workbook?

I am trying to do this through 'data valadition' ---'list'...but this approach is not working. when I click on 'Source' it does not allow me to change into the other workbook.

it would be great to get ideas and feedback.

either u can bring in that workbook as a new sheet ( copy sheet ) to the root workbook and try linkning.

thanks a lot. I will try linking as it feeds off a folder which is regularly updated.
