    Angry Packing List help

    Hi Everyone,
I have been struggling with this for about 6 months, This forum has been very helpful in the past so i thought I might be able to get some assistance with my problem

I need to create an Export packing list for T shirts

The packing list explains to the importer what is in each carton.

Each carton can fit 90 T shirts and needs to be full.

Here is an example of a typical order for one type of t shirt.

    211 smalls, 322 mediums, 272 larges, 152 XLarges and 24 XXLarges.

So I need to split up each size into lots of 90.

    Eg, Small (211)
    S M L XL
    BOX 1 90
    BOX 2 90
    BOX 3 31 remaining.

I need to then subtract the remainder from the next lot of 90
    S M L
    BOX 3 31 59 -
    BOX 4 - 90 -
    BOX 5 - 90 -
    BOX 6 - 83 7
    BOX 7 - - 83
    90
    90
    2

    ect, ect.

The problem is that once I get to the last box I might have a little space left over so I also need to add in the next print's quantities....

So I’m guessing that ill need a 2 sheets, one to enter the order in and one that processes it into a packing list.

If any one can give me any tips or advice i would greatly appreciate it. Even if its not possible to do please tell me so i can stop searching for solutions haha!

    Thanks in advance , Pierro

Ps, Below is an example of what i currently manually enter. This is usually many pages long!

    1 PRINT1 WHITE T 15 30 32 13 1 91
    2 PRINT1 WHITE V 95 95
    3 PRINT1 WHITE V 95 95
    4 PRINT1 WHITE V 21 72 93
    5 PRINT1 WHITE V 90 90
    6 PRINT1 WHITE V 90 90
    7 PRINT1 WHITE V 70 22 92
    8 PRINT1 WHITE V 90 90
    9 PRINT1 WHITE V 90 90
    10 PRINT1 WHITE V 70 22 92
    11 PRINT1 WHITE V 90 90
    12 PRINT1 WHITE V 40 24 64
    12 PRINT1 STORM T 4 5 6 1 16
    12 PRINT1 STORM V 16 16
    13 PRINT1 STORM V 10 40 36 4 90
    14 PRINT1 STORM V 22 22

    Re: Packing List help

Thank you very much, you are a genius! This is going to help out alot!

Is there a way that you can enter the entire order and generate the packing list automatically?

At the moment the above spreadsheet is set up so that you can only enter one type of T shirt. The orders that we recieve often have more than 100 types of t shirts on them.

Is it possible to have one sheet that you fill in with the order which then generates the packing list on another?

If this cant be done its okay, the above spreadsheet is truly wonderful and will help me alot.

    Thanks again!

What do you mean by more than 100 types of T shirts? Does it mean 100 sizes or 100 colour or what. Please give explaination on how you usual pack the product and give an example so that I can design for you.

Please see attached file. Is it the thing you want?

Red face Re: Packing List help

Hi again, Thanks for getting back to me. I have attached the file with a couple of changes to illustrate what it is that I am after. Its a little rough but hopefully you understand it.

I can make the 1st and 3rd sheet my self.

The problem that I am having is easily inserting the information on the first sheet and having it auto complete on the second.
If it was set out like this it would be a little easier.

    PRINT NAME - STYLE - S - M - L - Xl - XXL - PRINT NAME - STYLE - S - M - L - Xl - XXL - ect

This way I could drag the cells to complete the required information.

I worked it out before I need room for 180 types of tshirt.
And it would be rare to reach 350 boxes.

    Thanks again for you help
