Excel 2010 Headers and Footers

Hi,
Does anyone have any information about how to modify the layout of Headers and Footers in Excel 2010.
I'd like to be able to modify the size and text alignment of the three header and footer areas.
From what I know so far it appears to be impossible.

Select the text in the Header & use the Format buttons on the Home tab - change colour, font size etc
