    Lookup Word formula

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I'm trying to look up a word in a cell and match it against a column of words, then return the word that's in the column next to it. Some of the answers are correct, and others are wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Lookup Word formula

To use LOOKUP, the first column of the lookup list must be in ascending order.

    Try that, or try:

    =VLOOKUP(A3,List!$A$3:$B$24,2,0)
Where there is a will there are many ways.
