This is the crux of the issue. It reappears 3 times for different if lookups, they all fail.

OC_FV.xlsx is the file name, '[plant.model database.xlsx]In Use'!$H3 contains the plant code which correlates to the tab label in the oc_fv file.

I could possibly search through every tab, but thats rather inefficient I think. On the other hand, if the OC_FV file changes, Im guessing excel edit links will not be smart enough to realize this exists to update.

    Just tried this

so searching across all tabs... pulls a #ref error on the first if statement.

I know which tab to search in... but I dont know how to pass that into the formula without hardcoding it in (something I want to avoid)

just going to continue adding as I go, I think I can use indirect(), but how will it behave if the link changes? Guessing it will neither update nor give the option to edit the link?

still concerned that this is going to be very fragile :/

Dumped the OCFV data into the same file, no concerns about linking. Thatll work.
