Annualize data going back 2 1/2 years

    Hi,

I have a spreadsheet that shows the number of surgery cases for certain procedures for 2010, 2011, and through 6/15/12. How do I annualize the data for 2012?complicated case volume.xlsx

I think that in order to do this you need, as a minimum, to know how many of the surgeries in 2010 and 2011 took place in the periode 1/1 to 6/15.

    In E3

    =ROUND(D3/YEARFRAC("1/1/2012","6/15/2012",1),0)

    Is that what you need?

From the data provided I see no reason not to use ChemistB's suggestion in #3 and assume that surgeries are evenly distributed over a year.
