    percentages based on two variables

    Hello!

The issue that i am trying to overcome is creating the formula to create a percentage based on two different numbers. I am trying to create an excel spreadsheet that will tell my boss what percentage of people that are atteneding activities for the day based on the total number of residents in the building. The daily census will have to be able change based on one area of input from the user. Then if possible show for the entire month the average amount of people that are coming to each specific activity?

I know its kind of big or even possible to do, and instead of racking my brain or trying to google the solution i was hoping someone might know off the top of their head or able to point me in the right direction to where i can find the answer. Oh and something else in advance, THANK YOU!

those both were perfect, thank you! I knew it was something simple but how did you get the rest of the month to scroll over while still keeping the activities on the screen?

click on the cell to the right and below the column(s) and row(s) you wish to remain visible. In this case B2. Select Window > Freeze Panes. (Of course, as your have the pane frozen your only visible option will be Unfreeze Panes.)

Hmm...now we're running into another snag...we have multiple residents going to multiple activites so they are being double counted and messing with the percentage. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this?
