How to turn cell white then change it automatically back to original colour

Is there a way so that when the value or content of a cell is changed either manually or automatically it turns white for a few seconds then returns to its original column colour?

I have only been able so far to turn the changed cell white then return it to a single standard default colour. However each column has its own colour and this quite quickly becomes problematic.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The code looks right for what I need however I cannot get it to work on my spreadsheet. Its stating incompatability with my 64 bit system. Any ideas?

I'm not sure. I too have a 64 bit system. Using Win 7, Excel 2010.

I have tried it a few ways but the following message keeps appearing.

Compile error:

The code in this project must be updated for use on 64-bit systems. Please review and update Declare statements and then mark with the PtrSafe attribute.

into a search engine and see what helps. When I did, I followed some of the suggestions and nothing came up as an error with any changes.

I have tried that and still no luck. Could you post the code again if possible?
