    numbers not displaying correctly

ok i tried to format the cell by right clicking/format cells/number/number/change decimal places to 0. (not sure i did this right). now...when i insert this number in the cell and press enter-> 4888900013121876..it changes to 4888900013121870.

Format the cell as Text or prefix the number with an apostrophe before you enter it.

    Re: numbers not displaying correctly

Excel can only cope with numbers up to 15 digits. After that it drops the last one and replaces with a zero.

Depending on what you need to do with that number, one way around it is to format the cell(s) as text.
