    Re: grouping rows?

im trying to figure out something for you, but having a blank in col C either above OR below is proving troublesome. is there a way to ensure that the duplicate with nothing in C is the 2nd entry?

also, i noticed that the 2nd example you highlighted doesnt have the same main item number...is this correct?

    Re: grouping rows?

yep, that's correct. It'd help a lot if I could even highlight any rows where col B appears more than 1 time. that would even cut down on a lot. One step better would be highlight only IF at least one in col H is In Stock. Either would help tremendously. and we can forget about C entirely THANK YOU for any help.

    Re: grouping rows?

Highligh all the data in col B, and use this in CF as a "use a formula" option...

    =AND(B2=B3,H2="In Stock")

This will highlight those rows that have duplicates and are in stock

ahh, sorry, I tried to not bug you again, but I'm not even the level of a noob. Don't use Excel much and don't have a need usually. I Googled and googled and still don't know how to add this Circular Function. thank you
