Hello , This is my first post as I just registered and I have two excel sheets that have approx 12500 rows of dAta on each. These are both exports from my POS software, that were originally csv files. Now the problem is I have is
one sheet that contains two columns one with the items sequence number (not excels row number) and the other column the product model number. The second sheet/book contains the items sequence number and other info in various columns but
no product model number. What I tried to do was sort each book by the sequence number (column A) so they would be identical , then I could copy and paste the model number column from the
second sheet into the first. However the number of items are not the same from each report, some are excluded making them unabe to line up.
What I am wondering is if there is a way to make a formula to take the b column (model#) from sheet 1 and place it in the 2nd sheet matching them up by the sequence numbers in the column A from each sheet?
Any help would be great, I only have excel 2010 starter on my laptop, or excel 2007 on my desktop. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.
