Push data to a different workbook based on date

Hello & thanks in advance for the help on this question..

    **Excel 2007
**We enter the sales each day so we can view as a monthly total.
**Workbook is in a shared folder through my work network

    Here is my questions..

    1. After entering each of the days sales to the monthly log, we then have to reenter a portion of the same info onto a different spreadsheet which gets emailed to corp. Is there a way to get that info to automatically push to the other spreadsheet (a different workbook) whether by the date or something else?

    2. Is there a way to get what we are "pacing or tracking" for the month based off the current month to date totals?
    Example:
    Current sales totals (= 10)
    "/" the current date (6/10/2012)
= Average sales per day (= 1 per day)
"x" the total days of the month (x 30days)
= The current numbers we are pacing (30 total)

    3. Am I slow or does locking certain rows &/or columns not work correctly? Please explain how to do this cause its driving me crazy!

    4. Is it better to use a template vs a spreadsheet?

Again, thanks to anyone who can help!!

Not sure if this is what you mean, but here goes~

if you want to move the data you have from 1 book to another, being it entirely the same.

    1) Open the data sheet
    2) Right click on the sheet with the data
    3) choose Move or copy
    4) On the To Book drop-down list, select the book you want to move the data to
    5) check create copy if you want to create a copy of the data

Hope this helps in some way.

Well thank you for your reply but I was thinking more automatically done though. As if to say.. When today's date input A1, the rest of the info on row 1 would be push to work sheet #2.

This might be a lot to ask. I really don't know.
