Excel 2007 : Formula that references a letter and returns the sum of all numbers

Hi all, I would love some help with the following:

In the A column of a worksheet I have a 3 letter code. For instance AAA, AAC, BAA, BAB, BBA etc. In Column C I have the sales for those codes.
I am trying to get the total sales for all of the codes that begin with B. Can anyone help?

Go to the first post
Click edit
Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
Change to Solved
Click Save
