    Question Excel data to Access

    Hey guys

I have an excel sheet which I update every week and I would like the new data to be exported into my Access database. What is the best way to do this?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Excel data to Access

    Hi,

Access can either link to, or import the Excel data. Use Access for the connection instead of trying to Export from Exce.

I'd use the Link connection from Access. Then when the data in Excel changes it will be reflected in Access.

Well rather than exporting with Excel, I think you will end up importing with Access.

office.microsoft has A guide to import/export/link between excel and access as well as How to: Access database from Excel spreadsheet.

Anyway the upshot is, I think this is something you'll be doing with Access, not with Excel; although you'll want to format your excel worksheet like an Access database to avoid and prevent trouble.
