Rounding sum totals in pivot table (Excel 2003)

I have a pivot table in Excel 2003, the central field of which is of the type "sum of [range]". Every individual entry in [range] is rounded to two decimal places. The extracted totals however contain rounding errors at about the 15th decimal place. I do not need an exlanation of how that arises. I understand that cause. What I do not know is how to eliminate these rounding differences. I would like the summed totals displayed in the pivot table to be themselves rounded to 2 decimal places, as per the source data, but I do not know how to do that.

Frequently the sum adds up to (or SHOULD add up to) "0.00". However if the 15th decimal place rounds it into a negative, it appears as "(0.00)", which is undesired.

    Help??

    Thanks

    Hi (I'm a Excel 2000 user),

you could add a calculated field defined as

    =round(data,2)

and use the new field for your reports

Just for sharing a first idea.

    Hope it helps
