Excel 2007 : Excel Crash Issue on Closing

At random times I will be using excel and after I save a document and try to exit, I get an erros saying "Microsoft Excel has stopped working"

- I read a few other places about disabling Add-ins, but they are all disabled so that cannot be the cause.

Googling Excel AppCrash c0000005 brings up a lot of hits, including a "fix" ... I'm a little bit dubious about that, so take care if you consider going down that path. It says it's not affiliated with Microsoft in very faint writing that you might not notice ... but it looks as though it might be.

Have you tried running the inbuilt Office diagnostic and Repair tool?
