How to delete BOTH duplicate entries in Excel 2007?!

I am in desperate need of help - I have a list of names and addresses, 26,176 rows to be exact. Some of the entries (names) appear on the list twice. I need to find the duplicates, and then delete BOTH of the duplicates - not just one. I am basically preparing a list of marketing prospects. I took a list of our current customers, and merged it with a list of prospects. Within that list of prospects, some of our current customers are already in there. So the end result I need is a list with ALL of our customers omitted, so that I'm left with just a pure suspect list. HELP!! I'm ready to tear my hair out.

Which is the column that needs to be checked? Whats your data range, like A:H?

    Arlette,

    Hello!

MY data range is A:H. Columns A (last names) and B (first names) all have data in them. However, the other columns may or may not have data. For example, some column C cells (street address) may be empty, and some may have an address in them. The same for columns H (phone number).

So do you need the whole duplicate rows to be deleted?

Correct. If a name is in there twice, I need BOTH of the entries to be deleted.

Hi Dani and welcome to the forum,

See the attached with how i'd do this problem. If you no longer have the Prospects list I can figure that out also.

See sheet1 for a second method.
