Exclamation Copying & pasting visible cells only

    Hello Excel forumers!

I have a question regardig how to paste visible cells only from spreadsheet #1 to spreadsheet #2 without overwriting Sprsh#2 invisible cells, that occured due to filtering out specific area to be overwritten with the visible cells results from spreadsheet #1.

Ive tried using function CTRL+G-Special-visible cells only-copy, but when i paste the result to another spreadsheet, into already filtered area to be udated, it seem to overwrite invisible cells, while i need to preserve data in these cells. Is there a way to do it without pasting data line by line which is not feasible as i deal with the large volumes of data.

your help will be very much appreciated....

hi Enewbee, i don't think it's possible to do that. maybe you can upload the file & we can see how to do it another way. Click on "Go Advanced" beside the "Post Quick Reply" & click on the paperclip icon to upload

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.
