Greetings,

I have a workbook which has user-defined themes: The user can create his own theme, or use one of the 4 build-in Theme.

Now, I have some sections of a worksheet that can be hidden (since they are not in use): Before I started using Themes, I would simply used conditional formatting to 'whiteout' those sections to hide them (i.e. set the fill to white, and the font to white).
But now, with the ability to use any colors in a user defined theme (or one of the other non-white themes) I have a problem: When I tri to hide a section, the hidden area is white, which does not always corresponds to the background color of the worksheet if a non-white Theme is in use...

Is there a way to create conditional formatting based on a theme?
If I could do that, when the user 'hides' a section, I could set the background of all the cells in that section to the 'background' theme (whatever color this currently is!)

By the way, I cannot "hide" rows or Columns to get the same effect: the hidden area are cells in the middle of the worksheet...

Thanks!
R
P.S. I have attached an example image of what I mean...example.png
