Unable to use "All Borders" in protected sheet for Excel 2007

    Hi,

I have recently created a database using Excel 2007 & protected the sheet to prevent the other users from inserting row/column but allow them to input data and formatting. The data is allow to add bottom, top, left & right border but not all borders & outside borders.

    Please help!! Thanks in advance.

Hi, this is a bug in Excel - in 2010, following workaround does the trick: select area --> right click --> Format cells --> Border --> tick Outline and Inside too --> click OK. Now you should have all borders in the area you selected.
There is no any other method I can suggest, apart from this prehistoric one... :-)
