Show values from a formula cell and not delete once formula is set to 0

Trying to set up a formula:

    In B1
    =if(a1>0,C1,0)

*if a1 is greater than 0 then B1 should equal to C1, if not then it should be 0

Then I want to take the value of that number and put it in cell B2. Then be able to delete A1 but still keep the original value in B2.

    Any thoughts?

Set your calculation to manual, then you can step through one cell at a time. Calculate by entering edit mode of a cell and pressing enter (F2+enter), or calculate the whole sheet by pressing F9.
