    SUMIF query

    Hello

I maintain a spreadsheet of run training data. I have an existing SUMIF calculation to calculate the total miles undertaken in a week, based on giving each week of the year a number. For example the existing formula was:

    =SUMIF($I$5:$I$103,I5,$K$5:$K$103)

...where column I contains the week of the year, and column K the distances ran per run.

However I have now got more than one years data showing in column I and I do not want it to total Week 1 from say 2012 and 2011. I have added a separate column G which has the year. How can I get it to do the SUMIF calculation based on the weeks of the year, AND the year.

    Cheers

    Dean

    Re: SUMIF query

    Hi

    Try.

    =SUMIFS($K$5:$K$103,$I$5:$I$103,I5;$G$5:$G$103,G5)

    Re: SUMIF query

What version of Excel are you using?

If it's 2007 or above, you can use SUMIFS. If it's 2003 or earlier, you can use SUMPRODUCT.
