    Time & Days Left

    Hello,

I Just had a problem in solving this,i had a targeted date & time (15/12/2012 12:05:59) in cell A1 and in cell
A2 it should calculate the days & time remaining from present time.i know how to work for only days or time.

    Any Suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Ak

    Re: Tme & Days Left

    Hi

One way could be this. Your date in bi. In A1=NOW()(Reverse it if you want)

    =CONCATENATE(TRUNC(ROUND(((A1-B1)*1440);0)/1440;0);" Days";TRUNC(MOD(ROUND((A1-B1)*1440;0);1440)/60);" Hours";ROUND(MOD(ROUND((A1-B1)*1440;0);60);0);" Minutes")

Change all the semi colons to my formula to comma, if you have to do this.
    Regards

    Fotis.

    Re: Tme & Days Left

This version will give you a result like "5 days 14:23"

    =INT(A1-B1)&" Days "&TEXT(A1-B1,"hh:mm")

It assumes that A1 is the later date/time. If that isn't the case swap A1 and B1 in the formula, i.e.

    =INT(B1-A1)&" Days "&TEXT(B1-A1,"hh:mm")
