I understand that i can add a list box and return the value selected to a particular cell.
However this sheet has more than 100 cells which needs selection.
So how can i have a separate listbox for each cell?

Without enough information about what you're trying to do, it sounds like you need Data Validation. Search on Data Validation Lists for Excel, and you should get some useful stuff.

When you say that you have 100 cells which need selection, does that mean you have 100 items to be in you list box? OR Do you wish to create a list box for selection in 100 cells?
First you need to create a list table (is that the 100 cells?)
Then you can create a cell that you want to use to select from the list using Data Validation
Once you have created the first lookup cell then you can copy it anywhere else and it will continue to look at you original List Table.

We update on a daily basis, updating each days worker status.
What I want to do is have a Popup for (Status Selection) when I select each Cell.
