How to create drop down list that will populate other cells based on database

I am trying to create a very basic system for controlling material in a manufacturing plant. Each part requires a different amount of material so I want somebody to select a product number from a drop down menu that I make, and then it will fill in the cell next to it with the material needed for one unit. How do I do this????

The Dropdown list can be made via DATA VALIDATION

Filling in the cell next to it can be done via INDEX, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP or LOOKUP

Screen1 is the input-output spot. I would like to create a dropbox for which product to select (I can do that part), and then have it automatically do this equation:

=B3*PART WEIGHT OF THE PART NUMBER SELECTED


I only know the basic formulas but I can learn anything, Which formula would you use to accomplish this?
