I am working with a large workbook with many sheets. I am also needed to link several cells of a sheet to another.
Is there any way to indicate (with color or border) those cells which are linked to other sheets ?

You can toggle between "Ctrl+`".
This will show your text of the formulae you have used, but wont quite highlight formulae that contain links to other sheets.
Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!
Say thanks, Click *
Thanks Ace_XL.
But it does not really serve my purpose, since i have to check every possible cell and hit the shortkey. What i need is clearly highlighted cells in a sheet which are linked.
Any more help ?
On hitting "Ctrl+`" all formulae on the worksheet are displayed as text at one go.
I agree this dosen't fully serve your purpose, but it eliminates review of cells that are hard coded and dont have any formulae at all.
have you tried the formula auditing function which can display dependants and precedents?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Thanks Ace_XL and FDibbins for your input.
But sorry, those are not of much help for me and I guess I could not be able to clear my problem to you.
Say there are 11 sheets in a workbook, Sheet1 , Sheet2 .... Sheet10 and EXPSUM. May assume that Sheet1 to 10 are statements from different bank accounts. With data validation rule, every expenditure has been classified (such as interest paid, interest received, Bank charges and so on). While the EXPSUM sheet is the summary of all the statements. I have linked the summary of each ledger from each sheet to the EXPSUM sheet to find out the Grand Total.
Now, I need to check if I have linked every ledger summery of each sheet to the EXPSUM sheet.
Your suggestions to Formula Audit works good on the EXPSUM sheet, while it does not work on the Sheet1 to Sheet10. That means the Formula Auditing works on the destination sheet of two (or more) linked sheets (for this purpose), but not on source and while I need to check it on the source sheets.
Still if I could not be able to clear my problem, please let me know. Several years back while I was doing the same kind of stuff, I found (most probably) a formula for conditional formatting for the same problem. But am unable to find that file, neither in home or in office. Could have lost it as well when my 1TB seagate crashed
Anyways, could anyone please help me ????
