I have a table with four colums; Date, Location, Purchase, and Sale. On a regular basis, data is collected which provies a new row for each of the locations. most of the time, Purchase and Sale columns do not change. Once in a while, however, they change when compared to either each other or from the previous date record for the same location. I need to create a field that shows this difference.
In the attached document, I create a diff field and added the data manually. Then I used this as part of my pivot table.
Ultimate goal is to find locations which show any difference. Since my data comes from an export from a database, I simply want to create a quick way to see if anything has changed. I can create a simple calculated field in the spreadsheet which shows the difference between two different date but when it encounters rows for a different location, it will show big difference. I want to show different within each location if there is, not across locations.
