Find and Replace

I have a Diary which has 5,000+ cells (20 years) so it would be nice if I could do a "Find and replace" However when I do this and I change the color and Fonts the entire cell. At least half of my diary is color coded so is there any way to just change one word thoughout my document to the font and color I want without the entire cell being change. Example: I might want to change the word "work" to "Work" and if I do that every word in the cell is change. I have Excel 2010.

    Re: Find and Replace

Unfortunately you can't have multiple text colors in a single cell. Have you thought about using adjacent columns to indicate the existence of key words. For example, column B could indicate "Work" and if your text contains the word "work" it would flag using a Y/N, or TRUE/FALSE. This way you could also sort by your keyword columns and review all instances that contain your keyword at the top of the list. This would also allow you to have a significant number of keyword columns without your original text looking like a rainbow. You could also hide your keyword columns when not needed.

@ Dionysos actually you can have muliple text colors/bold/font size in a single cell, provided the cell contents is pure text, entered as such (like a heading)
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
