Hi there,
I come to you today with a potentially stupid question.. but try as I might I can't seem to figure it out.
I have a table in Excel 2007 set up with my desired formatting and conditional formatting. This was achieved by using the "Format as Table" menu option, then tweaking things from there.
Every time I add a new row, as you'd expect, the cell colours, borders, fonts, and conditional formatting are adopted by the new row.
But text justification is not. All the text is centre-justified (vertically and horizontally), but in the new row, it's top-left justified.
This on its own is irritating, not a problem, but the worksheet is protected against formatting changes to discourage people messing around with the looks (this worksheet is used by multiple people). As a result, people who add a new row cannot just select the new row and correct the justification.
Any suggestions much appreciated! It's bizarre that all other formatting preferences would be imported to a new row when justification would not, so I must be doing something wrong.
