So I am working in Excel 2003, the spreadsheets that I am building are going to people that have Excel 2007. The issue I am having is keeping the row data locked.
The format of the spreadsheet is a Name, then several columns of personnel details such as department, supervisor, extension. Then in that same row, I have many columns of numerical metrics (Employee Performance Data).
The information needs to be able to be resorted by a user by the demographics, and I have Autofilter on for these columns. In Excel 2003 everything works fine. However, when the user opens it up in 2007, and uses one of the autofilter settings, such as alphabetical, the demographic data on the left changes, but the metrics on the right hand side stay static, and thus mismatching employee's and numerical values.
Can anyone provide some advise on what's causing this and how to prevent it? I have tried locking and unlocking cells to no avail, presorting data....
