    removal of #num

    hello i am just trying to get my head around formulas.. can anyone help out with the spreadsheet i have posted

    Or
    In C3 put this formula
    =IF(B3="","",EDATE(B3,-2))
    and pull it down for rows below it.

    I see that is the formula that Melvinrobb did.

    Great minds think alike?? Melvin is similar to Marvin?

    I guess so.
    The #1 reason I chose "IF" instead of "IFERROR" is in case the file needs to be used in 2003. The IFERROR function is much cleaner though.
