Hi,

I have a query regarding the Regression Analysis tool (in the Data Analysis Toolpack under the Tools menu). In short I am aware you can drop 16 variables, into a multiple regression in any one regression - however can you run all of the variables in a sheet (in this case approx.200) in an individual regression against one variable in one go (if this makes sense).

What I am looking to do is essentially get a p (or significance value) for each variable (from the data set) independently against the dependent variable. What I have done originally is to take one dependent variable and then I have cut out independent variables that clearly weren't relevant, and then run the remaining sets of variables off in multiple regressions (16 at a time is possible on 2003), dropping all non significant variables out until I am left with a regression with only significant variables.

What I am trying to do now, is essentially run individual regressions on each variable so that I get a p value for it alone (with no other independent variable in the regression) so that I can find out how significant each variable is independently in relation to the dependent variable.

Is there a quick way of doing this? (e.g. like a handy plug-in, I already have a few additions from elsewhere). I really can't post the data set on here for a number of reasons (including the fact that it is over 14 megs).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
