    Vlookup Conditional Formatting?

See below... In column A are 100+ values that excel cannot tell which is the highest value. I have given these values a number so they could be ranked in sheet 2. What I need is that excel conditional formats column A in sheet1 for the highest value. Maybe it is possible to vlookup, or conditional format sheet2 col B and link it to sheet1 col A.

    sheet 1
    col A
    v1
    v2
    v3
    v4
    5.10a
    5.10b

    sheet 2
    col a.....col b
    v1.........1
    v2.........2
    v3.........3
    v4.........4
    5.10a.....5
    5.10b.....6

    thanks!

Post a workbook so others don't have to guess what you are actually working with.
