    Hyperlink to Cell

Is there a way to make the linked cell always be in the top row?

    Re: Hyperlink to Cell

I hyperlinked a pivot table (about 30 rows below, on the same sheet) from beside the pivot chart. I want the top of the table (row 60) to be the top row. I was able to do it personally by adjusting a lotus compatibility setting. But that's no help for anyone else who accesses the file.

Nobody has ever wanted to do this?

    Anyone?!?

It's too late now, but bumping your own thread actually works against you. Many people come on to the forum to help and click the UNANSWERED THREADS link at the top of the page which gives them a list of threads with zero replies. By replying to your own thread, you're off that list for good. Tip of the day.

It's also not a good idea to taunt people. They will answer if they have an idea on how to help. Second tip of the day.

If you so wished, I could delete the bumps to get you back onto that list, your call.

    Re: Hyperlink to Cell

If you are using an Inserted Hyperlink rather than the =HYPERLINK() function, then you can use a worksheet event macro to do the scrolling. Put the following macro in the worksheet code area:

Please Login or Register to view this content.

Because it is worksheet code, it is very easy to install and automatic to use:

    1. right-click the tab name near the bottom of the Excel window
    2. select View Code - this brings up a VBE window
    3. paste the stuff in and close the VBE window

If you have any concerns, first try it on a trial worksheet.

If you save the workbook, the macro will be saved with it.

    To remove the macro:

    1. bring up the VBE windows as above
    2. clear the code out
    3. close the VBE window

Yes, that would be great. Thank you.
