list of names in one sheet autopopulate in another?

Greeting All,

I have a list of 5000 names in a spreadsheet. I have another spreadsheet in a Wasp scanner, with MS Mobile and Excel 2010, that I am scanning asset tag information into. So column A on the scanner, I scan the asset tag number. In column B, I want to start typing the name of the user -- I'd like to be able to have that name cell refer to the list of names in the other sheet, so that my engineers can start typing the name, and the rest of the name will pop up...then they just select the correct name.

Is that possible in Excel 2010?

You could either have it as a dropdown or you can add several hidden rows with all possible names on top of the column/cell where the engineer would type the name so it would use autocomplete.

How can you make it as a dropdown? I am having a similar problem, and would love to avoid putting a massive hidden list at the top of each column.
