What is Excel Template

Hello Sir,

Good Morning All,

Sir,

What is Excel Template? when i am going to save the work book with macro enable Template that was saved but there is one problem when i am going to change some data and save the work book then it will prompt me to save as with new template.

Why This happen? is the template saves every time with new template

Kindly suggest

Hi Patnaik,

Excel template is a kind of initial workbook layout / design which a user can create with some default formatting / layout / company logos etc.. and when you use this workbook, you will have these thing ready in that and you can further type in your content thus saving time for formatting / putting logos etc.

When you save these type of template, it asks for save as (another workbook version) so that the initial design do not overwrite.
If you want to save the design in original template, you can save as that as xltx.
