Question Creating a population of total hours worked for that week ?

Here I have a spread sheet on a timesheet.

I would like to put in formula that would automatically populate the total hours that week, per employee. I have 5 employees
and the week runs from Monday - Sunday. Their jobs vary through out the day and are also timed in sections of duties per those hours. example : 3 hours of x , 4 hours of x . I can add those easily , but as long as I can get the ending total hours per week per line.

Any help will be very much appreciated

Thank you

This sounds like a pretty easy to make macro, do you have any experience with macros? If not that's no big deal, I'd be happy to write one. If you could post an example starting file, just about 50x50 data cells or a little more; and also your expected result file after the program is run; that would be the easiest method for sure. You can just make up names or dummy names but it's about impossible to write code without the files. Thanks!

this can probably be done thru a fformula too, but as suggested, a small sample file will enable us to help you better
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

SOLVED ! Had some help at work .

The formula was alot simpler than I thought.

Just highlight the lines you're totaling, tab over to next column, press <ALT => and it populates. You can also add vertically. Duh ! I need to learn some basics. Thanks for all your help.

@ calamityjane

Welcome to the forum.

Based on your last post it seems that you found a solution to your problem but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED. I'll do that for you now but please keep in mind for your future threads that Rule #9 requires you to do that yourself. If your problem has not been solved you can use Thread Tools (located above your first post) and choose "Mark this thread as unsolved".
Thanks.
