Conditional Formatting of Numbers on Axis

Hi everyone,

Just a question on what syntax to use for axis formatting where the value of the axis can change from a few hundred quid to 250 million!

Currently i have a custom format of £0.0,,"m"

But this is lost when the source data goes down through the values, is it possible to come up with a custom format that will do the following?

10,000,000 to 250,000,000 = £10m, £250m
1,000,000 to 10,000,000 = £2.4m, £8.8m
10,000 to 999,000 = £10k, £150k
1,000 to 9,999 = £1.4k, £8.6k
0 to 999 = £100, £800

I've been having a go but am struggling to crack it. Any help?

Try a format of

[>=1000000]£0.0,,"m";[>=1000]£0.0,"k";0

That'll pass muster i think. I did try to add a third element but excel wasn't having anything of it, is two the maximum number of arguments it can take?

[>=10000000]£0,,"m";[>=1000000]£0.0,,"m";[>=1000]£0.0,"k";0
