    Could a Text Box in Excel cooperate with vlookup/dropdown menu formula?

    hi,
    i wonder if a text box in excel could cooperate with vlookup or drop down menu?if yes,do you guys, show me the ways?thank you.

    Yes, when you insert the activeX textbox onto your worksheet, right click on it to View properties. Scroll down until you see the Linked Cell property. In here type the address of the cell you want the value that is typed into the textbox to appear in. If you don't want the value seen other than in the text box I suggest assigning the linked cell to a cell behind the textbox. So if you textbox sits over E5 then type E5 in the linked cell property field. Then in your vlookup just reference cell E5.

    Let me know if this makes sense
